The word tourism comes from the French word “le tour” which means journey or trip. The most visited cities are Paris, London and Bangkok.

Facts:
Transport (very important, you can organize it yourself or you go into a travel agency)
Travel agency (small businesses, offer a complete range of services)
Tour operator (acting as middlemen, make brochures for travel agents as promotional material)Accommodation (can differ from luxury hotels to youth hostels, people like exotic specialities or a balanced diet)
Insurance (covers certain losses, medical expenses or travel delays)
Destination (is the country or city you want to go, destination is also used in other languages)

Tourism in Austria:
Vienna is a major part of Austrian tourism. Popular skiing regions are Sölden, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, and Obertauern.

LONDON

General information about London:
London is the Capital City of Great Britain and it is on an island. There live about 7.5 Million people and there are twice as much tourists.

Sight Seeing:
The most important sights are:
London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Harrods, National Gallery, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, …

Theatres:
Theatre means a “place for seeing”. There are two types: comedy and tragedy. The first was the myth of Osiris and Isis in Egypt. Some famous musicals from Andrew Lloyd Webber are Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera.

There are famous sights, a lot of possibilities for shopping and you can improve your English.

Prejudices:

As we did our presentation about tourism on Wednesday you can see here the evaluation of your dream holiday in London.

Most of the people chose the plane to travel to London. The most popular accommodations are the hotel and the bed & breakfast.

A lot of people want to travel to London during the summer holidays or during the Easter holidays.

Madame Tussaud’s is the most popular museum and Piccadilly Circus is the most popular place what you want to visit. Other popular sights in London are the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Chinatown, Oxford Street, Tower Bridge, the Hyde Park, the Old Trafford Stadium and Big Ben.

More than half of the people would like to visit London with a tour guide in a group.

Our special offers for the half term holidays

The half term holidays are near before and so we have a special offer to the carneval in Venice for you.
The trip is from February 12th to February 15th (Friday to Monday). The flight depatures in Vienna and arrives in Venice and you have to travel by ship to the hotel.
You need one hour to arrive in Venice and the flight will start at 8.00 o'clock in the morning.
During the flight you will get some snacks and drinks which are included in our prices.
After the flight one of our tourguides will help you to find the ship to your hotel.
You will stay at Venice four days and you can either organise the programm yourself or we do it for you there.

The K stands for Katharina
The first M for Marlene
The second M for Magdalena
and the E stands for Evelyn.

We are 4 girls who are attending the business college in Perg.
Our English teacher told us to create a company and we chose a travel agency.

We are specialized in journeys by air.
So we offer holiday journeys, city journeys and business journeys.

Marlene Latzel: She is the president. She is 16 years old and she lives in Tragwein. In her freetime she likes to listen to music, meeting friends and travelling.


Katharina Rathgeb: She is our vice president. She is also 16 years old and she also lives in Tragwein. In her freetime she likes to travel around and see the different ways of living in other countries,.


Evelyn Leitgöb: She is our sales manager. She is 16 years old and she lives in St. Thomas/Bl. In her freetime she likes to reading books about other cultures.


Magdalena Holzinger: She is our marketing manager. She is 16 years old and she lives in St. Georgen/Gusen. In her freetime she likes to play volleyball, go snowboarding and she likes to meet friends of other countries.
